Playing for Combined Services or "CS" is the pinnacle of a rugby players Service career in the Royal Navy. On Wednesday 7 Nov 12, in the run up to Remembrance Sunday, the CS men's rugby team will play Crawshay's Welsh RFC at Sardis Road, home of Pontypridd RFC (KO 7.30pm). Earlier that day, the CS women's team take on CS Australia Women's at Virginia Park, home of Caerphilly RFC (KO 2pm). DEVONPORT SERVICES v HONITON As Devonport Services take to the field today against local rivals Ivybridge they will hope that the performance that saw them win last week against will improve against a team that are 4 places below them in the Western Counties West league. Last week Devonport Service overcame Honiton at home by 32-3. A win is a win! However, Skipper ‘Rocky' was less than complimentary about the performance which many of the players agreed with! Wednesday night saw the RN U23s continue their preparations in earnest for the 2012 Interservices Championship, with a fixture against a Chichester RFC Select XV. In the inaugural fixture between the two sides last season, the Senior Service ran out 45-6 winners at Burnaby Road but this time the RN were under no illusions that Chichester were out to avenge that defeat.
