The Women’s Royal Navy Rugby Union team concluded their historic 2022 season, which saw them play at Twickenham, with a first southern hemisphere tour. In a year where the annual Army v Navy match was a double header and the Women also played at the home of English rugby the Royal Navy Rugby Union (RNRU) have continued to provide a platform for the women’s game to flourish with a tour to South Africa. The Royal Navy Sharks head to Aldershot, the home of Army Rugby, on Armed Forces Day for the final round of the Super7s Series hoping to build on their excellent form in the previous round. The final round will see the Navy enter it with confidence after the Round 3 highs and lows which included the Navy tying with the Army, qualifying for the cup knockout stages for the first time this season but then falling to a heavy defeat to the eventual winners The 3 rd  round of the Super 7s Series took them to Stafford where they would take on some well established 7s teams and the age-old enemy: the British Army. The 11th of June promises to be a bumper day of sevens for the Royal Navy with players playing internationally, the Representative side and Development side all in action. Two Royal Marines will make their international 7s debut tomorrow, on opposite sides of the pitch! The European Rugby 7s Trophy makes a stop this weekend in Zagreb, Croatia and Marine Kane Teear-Bouge and Marine Toby Papp will both be playing.
