RNRU Royal Navy Rugby Union

The Portsmouth Naval Base Rugby Team have been given a boost in the form of a new set of rugby kit generously sponsored by Mainbrace, one of the companies working to support the Royal Navy. Captain of the Base, Captain Dave George, thanked Mr Dave Elcock from the company for agreeing to sponsor the Naval Base team. Mainbrace Marine are based in Rosyth, Scotland and supply a variety of maritime products to the Royal Navy.  Most recently, they have been instrumental in equipping HMS Queen Elizabeth with her outfit of berthing ropes, towing hawsers and bridles, something referred to in the trade as the ‘mooring outfit’.  With a base on the South Coast, and employing ...
