Silvi Buinimasi injured and out for IS2013
The RNRU can now formally confirm that due to an injury sustained during the RAF v RN Inter Service Round 1 game at RAF Halton on Wednesday 10 April 2013 that Logs(SC) ‘B' Buinimasi (HMNB Devonport) will be unable to any further part in the 2013 Inter Service Competition.
Director of Rugby for the RNRU Cdr (Andy) Kellett RN said of the injury.
‘It is really unfortunate for any player to pick an injury at this stage in the season, but particularly for a member of the Senior squad just ahead of the Army v Royal Navy game at Twickenham. ‘B' is a key member of the squad and will be missed by the players and coaching staff'.
Andy went on to comment on the support ‘B' will receive ‘Post his operation, ‘B' will be assessed by the RNRU Doctor before returning to his unit, where the RNRU will track and assist in his recovery, as we do with all the players injured in a representative game. We all wish him a speedy recovery and hope to see him back in a Navy shirt next season.

‘I am saddened to hear that Silvi Buinimasi has suffered an injury that means he will be out for the rest of the season. He is a big character in many ways and will be a sad loss to the team. However, he has a great support structure around him through the DoR, Cdr Andy Kellett and his Team Support Group and I am heartened that the lads are rallying around him. He is also in excellent hands with the RN medical teams so I am sure he will be back with us very soon. This will serve as a great incentive for all the boys to deliver a win for ‘B' on the 27th April as we know he will be watching with great interest!. We all wish him a speedy recovery and our thoughts are with him'.
