RFUW Regional Update
All looks well for the RN(W) Head Coach and South Region's Senior Coach after the first couple of Regional fixture rounds. PO LOGS (Pers) Dave Garner (HMS DAUNTLESS) has seen his Regional side win 29-5, beating the South West Region in the first round of matches. Whilst AB LOGS Charlie Lewis region North East gained a walker over due to the Yorkshire region withdrawing. In the second round Dave's sides forward dominance combined with some excellent running from the South Region's backs saw them demolish the South East region 50-5! However, It was mixed fortunes for Charlie playing in a triangular weekend of matches as the West Midlands beat her region the North East 24-0, although in the second match North East re grouped and put in a gritty performance to beat the East Region 15-7. The next round of regional fixtures take place on the 15th March with the top four Regions going forward to the finals. The South region face East Midlands & the Thames Valley in a triangular fixture, whilst Charlie's Region (North East) face the North West Region in a battle across the Pennines. All at the RNRU (W) wish both Dave and Charlie the best of success and hope to see a SOUTH vs NORTH EAST final taking place at Grasshoppers RFC, London on the 21 Mar. Further updates will follow.
