Coach Bruno Has High Hopes For Sultan's Season

HMS Sultan's rugby coach, WO2 'Bruno' Brunning has high hopes for the coming season. "Pre season work has gone really well, with regular good turn outs at training. We have a core of experience in the side and some very promising youngsters. The key will be to keep the enthusiasm levels high and how we manage with the disruption caused by players coming and going on draft. At the moment I am more optimistic than I have been for a while and we have been further boosted by a couple of players coming from Navy Rugby's Go Play Rugby initiative." Navy Rugby Development Officer, CPOPT Dusty Miller, took time out to watch one of Sultan's training sessions and commented, "This is what we are trying to achieve across all the establishments. Bruno is a pro-active coach and through him and his coaching team the players are benefiting from structured and enjoyable sessions which of course encourages more players to want to take part. As we train more and more coaches it is hoped that the success that is occurring at Sultan can be expanded upon as part of the aim to reinvigorate rugby throughout the Navy. We are also fortunate that we are being supported by the RFU's Go Play Rugby campaign which has provided some excellent resources to support this aim." Navy Rugby wishes HMS Sultan RFC success throughout the season. If you want support for your Ship or Establishment Rugby Club contact the RDO for further advice.
