Opportunity Knocks

The 2013 fixture list could not have been better planned.  After a good first outing against Ealing Trailfinders it is important for the U23’s to ensure they are prepared to work as hard for each other as they did last season.  There is neither place nor time in their short season for any thoughts that it will ‘just happen’.  Performances have to be worked for.  So the second match of the season not only brings them in front of their home Burnaby Road crowd but also matches them against Chichester, who last season won the match far too easily.  The perfect incentive to put on a show. The Word From ‘The Man in the Van’

more

The Navy Referees training day, to be held next week at RNAS Yeovilton, will include a session from the RFU’s newest Television Match Official, Keith Lewis. Navy U23s Have a Point to Prove

more

The Royal Navy Under 23 team begin their 2013 Inter Service campaign with a tough away trip to Ealing Trailfinders and a point to prove from last season. Those who followed their campaign in 2012 will have seen a group of players develop into an effective team. Following a poor start against Chichester they showed remarkable progress through to a deserved win in their opening Inter Service match, at home to the Royal Air Force , and to the championship's conclusion at Aldershot. At the home of Army Rugby the Navy U23s produced a performance that was resolute in defence but also capable of taking their opportunities in attack.
