The 2017 Medics Rugby Challenge charity match between the Royal Marines and the Peninsula Medical School will take place at Plymouth Albion RFC on Tuesday 7th November 2017.  This year’s match will be the ninth in the series with the Royal Marines leading with 5 wins to 2 (one match was a draw).  The aim of the event is to raise money for the Royal Marines Charity and it has now become a permanent fixture and highlight of the West Country Rugby calendar.

The evening will start at 5.30pm with a youth match between Devonport Services RFC and Ivybridge U16s, followed by a marching and musical display by the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines.  The big game between the Royal Marines team and the students from the Peninsula Medical School will kick off at 7.30pm.

After the match there will be a charity auction in the club house to raise further monies for the Royal Marines Charity (lots include a signed 2017 Lions Rugby Ball, Harlequins and Exeter Chiefs signed rugby balls, a variety of gym passes, tickets to Exeter Racecourse, hotel stays and plenty more).  Last year nearly £20,000 was raised throughout the night.

So if you would like to be involved in this incredible evening tickets are available in advance from from Doc Lambert (saddadz@live.co.uk) and they will also be available on the night when the gates open at 4.30pm priced £5.  Corporate entertainment is also available at Plymouth Albion before kick off priced £20 per person which includes a welcome drink, food, entry ticket and souvenir programme.
