Celebrate Historic Rugby Rivalries in 2024

The Royal Navy won the 2023 Senior Men’s crown for the first time since 2016 with a dramatic 39-22 win over the British Army at Twickenham Stadium, and they will begin their quest for a first back-to-back title success in 50 years when they take on the Royal Air Force in Plymouth on Saturday, April 20th.

Meanwhile the British Army’s Senior Women are seeking a three-peat of titles since regaining their crown in 2022, and their campaign kicks off against the Royal Navy at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday, May 4th.

The schedule also means that the Royal Air Force will have the all-important fallow week in the middle round of the three. The RAF Senior Men have won two of the last seven Inter Service Championships (2015 and 2018), while the Senior Women are the only team to have broken the Army’s run of titles and have pushed the red shirts all the way in the last two years.

As in the past two years, 2024’s Inter Service Championship retains the double-headers with the Senior Men and Senior Women both sharing the big stages of Brickfields Stadium in Plymouth, Gloucester’s Kingsholm Stadium, and the home of England Rugby, Twickenham Stadium.

Each weekend also includes the relevant Masters level fixture. The Royal Navy Mariners and the Royal Air Force Vultures get things underway at Devonport Services RFC on Friday, April 19th, with the Mariners then taking on the British Army Masters at Richmond Athletic Ground on Friday, May 3rd, and the series rounds off between the RAF Vultures and Army Masters at Kingsholm Stadium, Gloucester, on Friday, May 10th.

Venue availability and a desire to give the Inter Service Championship its own window between the end of the Six Nations and the Premiership and European club knockout stages has both condensed the Championship into a four-week block and changed the order of the fixtures as follows:

Saturday, April 20th – Royal Navy v Royal Air Force, Brickfields Stadium, Plymouth

Saturday, May 4th – British Army v Royal Navy, Twickenham Stadium

Saturday, May 11th – Royal Air Force v British Army, Kingsholm Stadium, Gloucester

Army v Navy Ticket Information
Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Thursday, November 30th, for Army v Navy, with tickets for the remaining two fixtures going on sale in due course.

For the first time everyone who orders a ticket for Army v Navy before December 20th, 2023, will go into a special prize draw which will include an invitation to an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Twickenham Stadium before the big match itself, along with a signed shirt of your choice from the Army or Navy. Winners will be drawn at random from everyone who has purchased tickets and notified in time for Christmas!

Army Navy ticket prices start from just £25 for adults – lower than 2023 – with Under-16 tickets on general sale in categories 3 and 4 for a tenner.
