The Royal Navy Rugby Union Referees Society Annual Training Day will take place at HMS Collingwood Sports' Pavilion, Newgate Lane, Fareham, Hampshire this Wednesday 6 September 2017 from 1000 - 1530. The event is open to all members of the Royal Navy Rugby Union, not just referees, and is an invaluable opportunity to get an update on global law and law amendment trials.

Several other sessions will be included in the day which will all contribute to referee, coach and team management continuous professional development (CPD). Players will also find it a useful round-up at the start of the new season. This year former RFU and International referee, Dave Pearson, will be joining the event and sharing his insights throughout the day. He will also conduct a session on the 'Management of Repeat Infringements and Cynical Play' before lunch.

The RNRURS Training Officer, Gaz Fairbairn, is the co-ordinator of the day so if you would like to attend please contact him via email at rugbytime@hotmail.co.uk. A varied and interesting programme has been planned and it is sure to be informative day with the opportunity to meet other like-minded rugby enthusiasts and to share with and learn from others. We look forward to seeing you there.
