Welling and Tichias Start for Remembrance Match
Winger Greg Welling and centre Matt Tichias have both been named in the starting XV for the United Kingdom Armed Forces team that will play Bath United in the 2015 Remembrance Match. They are joined by fullback, Jon Humphrey, and flanker, Jarrard Hayler, who are both named amongst the replacements.
Jon Humphrey is the only one of the four who was involved in last season’s match against the Barbarians although Matt Tichias played in the 2013 Remembrance Match and Greg played in the 2012 Remembrance match against Crawshay’s Welsh XV. If Jarrard comes off the bench it will be his debut for the Armed Forces team and will round off an excellent six months of rugby that has seen him win his first Senior XV cap and be voted RN player of the IDRC 2015. Good luck to all four Royal Navy Rugby Union players.
