Olivia Critchley and Rose Dixon will surely be in the running for a place in the Senior Women’s Team to play at Twickenham in 2022.

The significant discount on Royal Navy Rugby Union branded merchandise, including official Canterbury training kit, supporters’ shirts, leisure wear, accessories and gifts, continues for another week.  Now is the time to grab yourself a bargain, ready for the return to rugby.

There really is something for everyone, from soft toy mascots for the children, RNRU ties, wallets and cufflinks for dad (Father’s Day isn’t that far away), and long-sleeved rugby jerseys for Women and Men.  Whether you are a current player or are thinking of returning to rugby when lockdown ends, or prefer watching from the sidelines, it is definitely worth checking out what we have in stock.  Hoodies, tracksuit trousers, T-shirts, shorts and socks, plus a selection of supporters’ shirts.

Orders will be dispatched as soon as practicable and before you know it you will be ready for the return to rugby!  The RNRU webshop will close by 31 March 2021.

The reason for the sale is two-fold: firstly, to generate income for the Royal Navy Rugby Union and secondly, because our business partnership with Sapphire Seven Ltd is coming to an end in April.  All sales of merchandise generate income for the RNRU to spend on rugby for our sailors and marines, so the more you buy, the more we can spend on playing rugby.  Sapphire Seven Ltd have been responsible for all of our merchandise sales so unfortunately with the end of the contract, we will, for the foreseeable future, suspend our merchandise sales.  We do intend to sell RNRU branded merchandise again in the future, and are investigating options of how we will do this.  But in the meantime, it is prudent to take a pause so we can focus on the core task of getting people back to playing rugby.

So this is your chance to grab a bargain while you can, and support the Royal Navy Rugby Union, a registered charity, in the process.  All profits will be ploughed back into the RNRU to enable sailors and marines to play rugby both in the UK and around the world.  If restrictions continue to ease, we are planning a return to rugby this summer, with both community and representative rugby programmes getting underway.  Further details will be promulgated via this website and on our social media channels.

In the meantime, please take a look at the offers in our webshop and make sure you are ready either on or off field for when rugby returns.
