Vacant new position - Navy Rugby Director of Finance

A decision has been taken by the Executive Committee of Navy Rugby to split the ever increasing portfolio and workload of the Director of Finance & Marketing. As part of this process it is likely that a position will become vacant to manage the existing Finance arm of the portfolio. Thus, expressions of interest are invited from those who feel they are both suitably qualified and experienced, and sufficiently motivated, to fulfil this demanding role. The position will involve supervision of the keeping of the Union's accounts, using SAGE Line 40, by a part time book keeper and the preparation of them for annual audit. In addition, the post holder will be required to prepare and manage the Union's annual budget and deal closely with members of the Executive Committee to ensure the ongoing delivery of its aims. The person will need to deal particularly closely with the Director of Marketing and the Union's auditor. The Union's finances, in terms of both income and expenditure, have swelled significantly as a result of the success of the Army v Navy fixture and a whole host of other projects and initiatives and the post is demanding in terms of the level of expertise, and comfort with the subject, and time. Further information can be obtained from the current Director of Finance & Marketing, Cdr Bob Gray, who may be reached by email 350-cdrlogs@a.dii.mod.uk . All expressions of interest should be forwarded to him, in any event, by 7 March.
