ROYAL NAVY WOMEN END OF SEASON PRESENTATIONS

On Sat 1 Jun, the RN Women held their End of Season presentation lunch at the Royal Maritime Club in Portsmouth.    First up was the presentation of certificates to those Ladies who played their first Inter Services matches this season.  Certificates were given to NNS Alice Kightley (DSHE) and AET Lisa Christie (702 NAS).  MA Amy Risker (Keogh Barracks) had her certificate presented at her passing out parade by her Commanding Officer and CPOAET Billi Staite (MAA) and SLT Helen Stevenson (HMS Illustrious) were unable to attend.  The next presentation was for the Most Improved Player of the Season.  This player is selected by the Coaching team as the person who has made the most progress this season and it was awarded to MA Amy Risker.  The final award was to the Players Player of the Season.  It is testament to her effort, dedication and positive attitude both on and off the pitch that LAC Emily "Peanut" Park received this award.  Congratulations to all who received awards.

At the end of the season, Navy Women's Captain, Lt Charlotte Fredrickson (COMUKTG) stood down and the lunch was an opportunity for the Squad to thank her for the inspirational leadership that she has given the team over the past 2 seasons.  Lt Cdr Kirsty Marlor, Chairwoman, said "Freddie has done a fantastic job as Captain and I'd like to thank her for her hard work and support.  Overall, this has been a really successful season for the RN Women with a victory against the RAF and a strong performance against both the French Navy and the Army.  Our squad goes from strength the strength and I am feeling really positive about next season."
