KIT FOR KIDS – RNRU TOWNSHIP APPEAL

At the end of September the Royal Navy Rugby Team will be visiting Cape Town in South Africa to compete against Australia, New Zealand and the hosts in the Commonwealth Cup. The visit will culminate in a fixture to be held at Newlands RFC between the Combined Navy Barbarians and a Cape Town Select Team. In an initiative supported by the Rugby Football Union and the South African RFU coaches from the RNRU and members of the squad will visit youth groups, within Townships, to introduce the game of rugby to the children and hopefully, with your support, distribute much needed rugby shirts. In a collaboration fully supported by the Director of Naval Recruiting each of the Armed Forces Careers Offices (AFCO) and their supporting Sub Units throughout the Country will receive donations of kit on behalf of the RNRU Appeal. Your support would be most welcome. Please take your old, clean, rugby shirts to your local AFCO and help the RNRU make a difference. The closing date for receiving the shirts is the 31 Aug 06.
